thank you,

Before you go buying a new one, check on the condition of the sensor first. These things are list price from the dealer for like $230. I'm sure you can find one cheaper, but it is certainly an expensive part to replace without even inspecting it first.

Remove the sensor, and clean off any dirt from the magnet. Also check the condition of the wires to the sensor, make sure there aren't any exposed wires that could be possibly shorting out.

I did some searching on this part and was amazed by the price.
I will check it and clean it prior to shelling out $230+ for it.
thanks for the feedback.

Does the car run ok besides the code 11? If you had a problem with the crank angle sensor, the car would likely not run.

yeah it runs fine, the only problem i have is with the automatic tranny. but i don't think that the two are related to one another.

Have you tried clearing the codes? More than likely that code was a false code, especially if the engine is running fine.
