the 16 flashes means the tcu has a code. it could be any code

Binding in corners could be many things.
1. thing it could be is mismatched tires, tires not evenly sized to 1/16"
2. It could be wrong rear diff ratio for trans
3. it could be clutch packs failed in the rear output of the trans
4, it could be duty C
5 it could be combination of 1 or all of the above.

but if you get 16 flashes there is a code to get. read up on how to get code. goes like switch on , put in D, press manual button, key off, put in 3, key on, press manual, key off, select 2, key onm press mnaul etc etc etc...

Follow the instructions on my site for pulling the TCU codes and report back on what you find.

Ok so I am at 246k do i need to do clutch plate while its open or just look for wear and replace solenoid?

What I would suggest is clearing the TCU codes by pulling fuse 14, (EGI/TCU) for an hour or so. Then check to see if the code comes back. It probably will, but it's a good idea to just double check.

Also, here's the diagnostic tests from the factory manual.

Before tearing into the trans, I'd make sure the wiring is good as well.

You can remove the rear tail housing where the duty c solenoid is located with the trans still in the car. If you're tearing into the trans, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to check and probably replace the clutch plates.
