92-94MY rear struts different than 90-91?

I apologize in advance if this is covered elsewhere, all I seemed to find for rear strut fitment was WRX and STi fitment.

My 91 L wagon had a ton of positive camber in the driver side rear wheel. I pulled the rear strut and it's all bent to hell. So I grabbed a rear strut from a 93 wagon at the PnP

When I lined them up, it appears that the 93 strut is roughly 3/4" shorter than the 91. If I just put that strut in, will it throw off the balance of the car? I imagine the passenger side strut from the 93 is still out there if need be, but if it's okay to have 2 different struts, I'll go with it.

I'm assuming the collective knowledge of this board will be screaming at my lazy ass to go pull the other strut, but I figure I should ask anyways.

When you say that there is a 3/4" difference, where are you taking the measurement from? The strut body or the spring perch? You really should be taking the measurement at the bolt holes of the strut where it mounts to the spindle to the spring perch.

I would recommend replacing the struts in pairs. Really, you should replace all four. I have experienced first hand different struts on the front and rear causing the balance of the car to get all out of whack. However, if money is tight and you just want something to get you by, especially if there is a height difference, I'd suggest grabbing the other rear strut.

The measurement was bottom hole to tophat.

Either way, I got the passenger side one this morning. The vehicle I pulled from had about the same mileage as my legacy, so I'm sure the struts are equally worn out front to back and side to side. I also got a decent axle to hold me over until tax time.

Good deal. Well let us know if it changes the ride height drastically or the handling characteristics.
