Hey i have searched and googled etc, but i havent been able to find a good bit of info on the easiest way to figure out which LSD i can swap into my car. i guess the '93 didnt come with rear LSD, right? so i can find one from a '91 Legacy SS, or are there any other subarus that came with rear LSD that have the same final drive (3.9) and will swap in (same axles, etc)?
thanks!

You don't need one with the same ratio if you're willing to do a little extra work. You can swap the viscous unit from any R160 LSD into your stock differential:

Hi,
In my reading the only 3.9 rear diff w/LSD and the same axles in the USA is from the '91 SS.
The
SPDA Trans Chart shows JDM and newer US models w/3.90.
The chart shows the WRX as a FD ratio of 3.90, and it has LSD, but:
Rear diff ring & Pinion = 3.54, X 1.1 intermedate gear = 3.90
Front diff Ring & Pinion = 3.90

I will have a 5spd with lsd for sale sometime soon. I got a 6speed, and its just a matter of doing the swap.
