Cool 10 Min Video On Engine Rebuilding Process

I stumbled across this video in a craigslist ad for rebuilt metro engines. It's a machine shop that put together a pretty good video on the whole process they go through to rebuild an engine start to finish. Looks like fun.

I might have bought a toyota engine from these guys but it might have been a different place. The engine had bad rings and we took it back and they cracked it open and said, yup the rings are shot and told us they got a faulty batch of rings from the manufacturer and replaced the engine on the spot. Said they had gotten like 12 engines back with bad rings. It was on us to redo the job though which sucked but the engine ran great after that.

Just watched a few minutes, but that is a pretty cool video! I'd say they went above what is normally done for most motor rebuilds.

Yeah I was pretty surprised they were rebuilding all those parts rather than replacing some of them.

Yeah, that was a good video.

IMO, standard small block V8's are easier to build compared Subaru motors.
