How many FWD owners here?

Been starting to consider selling my 90 Ls FWD 5sp but was wondering on how many are still around. I actually believe them to be kinda of rare. Considering it was the first year they were sold and it is a Ls with a 5sp. I curently have my SS with me a the Ls in storage in GA and wanted to make the Ls into a Honda beater, making it really light and just having fun with it. The thing can get 32 mpg on the highway so its great for gas. The problem is I don't knw if I should keep it or maybe grab the 5sp from it and put it in my SS and take all the other parts I have off it. I love it though since it is so different from most subarus being it is FWD. Also had another idea to find a postal wagon and make it right hand drive, that would be pretty unique.

So if you got one let me and feel free to post a pic up

I had one
Mine was just an L though. I know what you mean though. The FWD got great gas mileage, much better hwy cruising rpms, and I had the damn thing up to 130 or so in Montana. It just went due to the gearing. It is certainly a lighter platform compared to the SS. The LS probably has a little more weight than the L, but probably wouldn't be too big a difference.
There's probably still some FWD's out there, but due to them not being "performance" cars, the owners probably aren't on the internet searching for forums, etc.

I'd say on craigslist around my area (Western WA) between 10-20% of the firstgen Legacys are a FWD model.

Duchess is still FWD and will remain that way until/if I convert it to RWD. I almost never had issues with traction and torque steer was never a problem either. I drove "performance" all seasons year round and that only sucked with one brand of tire. Also, the better mileage from the 3.7 FD, reduced friction and weight and the jump off the line due to the less weight and friction made the car a lot of fun and care-free. Now that RWD is a real option, I have no interest in AWD, which I only ever wanted to handle an increase in power.

Yea I want the ones you have since they arw only 16s instead of 17. The 17 are to big for the FWD, or atleast on my car.
