Has anyone changed the gauge and HVAC lights with LEDS?

I did this on my BD Legacy but not on the girlfriends BC.

I've changed the gauge lighting but not the HVAC yet. I've also changed the ashtray light, dome light, glove box light, map lights, trunk light and more to L.E.Ds. Only issue with changing the gauge lighting is there will be spots that are brighter than other spots aka hot spots. Also, since the back of the numbers are a light green it might make whatever color you choose look off. Blue shows up pretty good

Which bulbs and how many of which type?

Majority of them are 74. It's six of the 74 ones. Two of the bigger ones. Here's a link to give you an idea of what bulbs and what they look like and prices:

Red shows up pretty good, too. I changed everything out to red except the HVAC.

Do you have any pictures of the red? I haven't seen that yet

im just wondering if anyone has taken apart the hvac to even get to the lights

I just changed mine in my hvac Because had to re-solder heater connection pins on the circuit board.

Which style of bulbs were they and how many?

I beleve they were 74s. I had bought three different packages but they are smaller than 94s but bigger than 37s which are in the light is under ashtray and there are two in the hvac.
