Lasers To Replace Spark Plugs Soon

I read about this a while back but it looks like the technology has come a long way since then. The lasers are now small enough to fit in a cylinder head and Denso is working with the people who've designed them to bring it to market in the near future.

What about burning a hole in the pistons. The piston top would have to be a mirror finish. I know, too short a pulse. Bet they won't have retrofit kits, darn.
