Probably sounds better from inside. Looks like it might be a fun car to drive that's actually balanced and built for people who have half a clue as to what they're doing and not for lawyers, insurance companies, and posers. So rare these days. I have to say that I'm really tempted and if I didn't drive over 40k miles a year, I'd almost definitely buy one. At the very least, that's the drivetrain I want if I ever get to build my own car. This is the car I hoped Mazda to build—hardtop Miata and, even further of a dream, a boxer engine and, even farther, with direct injection, short sump, and no damn timing belts.

I got to see one in person a few days ago. I like the looks of the car, but it's just not practical at 6000+ft (Colorado Springs) It seems a little slow as it is, and would be a dog up here. I asked the Subaru dudes when they will make an STI version, and he said "years down the road due to the contract with Toyota". So much for the turbo version...

Maybe bolt on a turbo kit? Who knows, I havent seen the engine specs.

greddy has already been designing the turbo kit for it.

the sti version will most likely be in 2014 when sti branches away from subaru as a specialty vehicle maker. all sti vehicles will need to be ordered through the dealer, they will no longer be inventory on the lot. on the bright side of this, sti vehicles are going to be faster and more unique. they will probably release the forester and legacy sti to the states. expect the price tag to be hefty on these cars though, roughly $40-60k.

Nice, I cant wait to see some uploaded footage of that combination. So STi may eventually go on to be it's own production and manufacturer line? Not to get off topic, do you work at R&H?

I'll officially retract my first statement seeing as greddy is fabing up a bolt on kit. That's pretty bad ass.

i dont work there but i do help out. the owner has been a good friend of mine for about 7 years.

Oh nice. My buddies Brian and Ryan go there a lot with there cars. There friends of Hunters. I'm going to be getting my 3in turbo back, boost controller and gauges put in there pretty soon. Can't wait to start a relationship with them my self.

white is the best color in most any car.

That white reminds me of my 240Z. This is what the modern Z should be like, not that overweight bathtub Nissan makes. I only like white on some cars. This is one of them.

you forgot to add "french made bathtub." i do not support modern nissan because they are french owned, and i dont support anything french.

If they come out with a turbo version that would peak my interests,
though I think an ej series motor should have been kept.

We just covered that. euroshark mentioned that greddy is making a turbo kit for it. Luckily! Watched some more track footage of it today and I was impressed.
