93 legacy L fwd. Car was running just fine with only a code 35 (evap solenoid) showing. I had to pull out a ton of audio equipment out of this thing which included DC'ing he + battery cable to unhook the monster cable. Hook everything back up....flashing CEL. Put the two black under dash connectors together to see what may be the matter...to no avail. Steady flashing CEL. The only symptom is car is idling around 1500 rpm now. DC'd neg battery cable for 1/2 hour...no change. Replace ECU? If yes, will one from an awd L work? thanks

Did you disconnect the black connectors when you were done checking the codes? Are the green diagnostic connectors connected?

Try connecting both the green & black connectors to clear the ECU. Sometimes they may get "stuck" and using both conenctors to clear the memory is the only thing that works.
