Hey I have searched around, but haven't found a good thread. Just looking for a good thread that outlines helpful tips to remove the auto tranny. I figure unbolting the moter from the mounts so I can tilt the motor back and forth. Any good threads and tips would be appreciated?

Its pretty straight-forward. Get the exhaust out of the way. Drain the fluids. Use a block of wood between the jack and the pan, and have a friend there to help guide it down.

Well, you'll need to pull the turbo to get at the TC/flexplate bolts through the access hole under the throttle body.
Once the trans is out, if you don't need to pull the TC, don't. Its just easier that way.

When you reassemble, make sure the torque converter is seated all the way. If it's not and you reassemble, it could damage the oil pump inside the transmission and then you have a very big paper weight.

about to pull the motor figured it would be easier to do it while the motor is out.
