Cruise control on an ej20g?

Not sure if this is the right place.

I was previously using an ej25D intake manifold (a JDM one at that - no EGR!) and both my throttle and cruise cables fit perfectly.

I switched to a complete ej20G intake manifold which solved most of my problems related to jerry-rigging.

Anyways, the throttle cable fits perfectly, but the cruise control cable has about half an inch of slack now. Meaning, I can't tighten the nuts on both sides of the bracket.

It does in fact work, but there is a second or two of delay before it engages cruise after hitting the stalk, whereas before it engaged pretty much immediately.

The bracket from the ej25d doesn't fit, so is there some other solution to getting this to work properly?

The intake manifold is from a JdM Legacy RS I believe. Build date is 3/90.

You may have to put a clamp wire nut on about where you think the slack is pretty much gone and leave it at that.

Sadly, that is what happens when you mix and match.

Or if you know of a good machinist, you could take two and rivet them together to get the distance.

But everything else works perfectly, lol. Clamp wire nut. Hmm that just might be the ticket.

Anyone else have any insight in this problem?

Did you swap the throttle body? If so is the cruise throttle cam on the throttle body a different shape/size?

Hmm I did use the ej20g throttle body. Had the ej22t one on the ej25de manifold. Now you got me wondering... Thanks Josh :)
