My "Coffee Can" Mod (Updated!)

This is something I slapped together with parts from Auto Zone and Silicone shops, sorry for only having one pic so far. I broke my ankle and don't really care to hobble out and take more right now...
Here are a few pics I took just barely, sorry they're not the best my foot began to hurt so I was anxious to get back on to the couch.
Also here's he part numbers from Spectre for those metal tubes all 3" OD.
4" Strait: 9409
90 Degree elbow: 9499
This is one I'd like to try is a 60 degree elbow: 9469
The reducer I got off eBay from some crap store that struggled to send me the right one. But you can get the hump hose coupler and bending reducer from
http://www.siliconeintakes.com for just over $30 plus shipping.
And here's a pic of my modified TD04 that was ruined when I was experimenting with plastic piping while running bad motor mounts (as my Group N motor mounts sat in my garage waiting to be put on.)

-Curious, why do you have a check valve in your vacuum line going to your bov?

It's a filter I think from HKS, but I had some money to blow at Rally sport direct so I just bought that.

-I think I used a dayco hose, part #70739 and cut it up to fit... I think. I reckon it was a GM radiator hose or something along that line.

I believe so, I measured mine about 2-3 years ago and just kind of forgot about it after I had it

But if i remember right it is 2.25"

Nice. i've got a lot of pics to up load to my build thread once I am done. i just test fitted the tmic, and extended y pipe, and everything is ready to go. Just have to get the 90 and some new copper crush washers then ill be set. bolted down the turbo already and waiting to get the down pipe on because i want to heat wrap it first. pretty excited i was able to read the threads and pretty much tackle this my self.

No that's just an elbow if you're going to be copying my setup than you need a Bending Reducer

I would copy your set up, but i need my car running by friday and I was planning on having everything back on by then. I'll probably order those parts to mod it in a month or so. If i order the 90 in the link I showed you, would i need a piece of aluminum pipe to extend from there into the oem bend where all of the lines connect before the resinator.?

To be honest Thesubielover I have NO idea what you would need to get to make your own setup to work, I can tell you everything I've done with this setup that I made.
This didn't take me hardly any time to put together and I got the majority of the parts from Auto Zone, if you have time to order parts online then you have time to go to your local auto parts store and order those pipes from Spectre with the numbers I've supplied, unless they already have the parts. I only had to order the 4" tube because one of the stores close to me had the 90.

Yeah, I already figure it out. Did you buy auto zones kit for drilling in those vaccume lines? I may do that and do the et up your running. seems cheap and easy.

I did, I have so many fittings laying around now from buying more of those fitting kits now. I'd recommend getting a stepped hole drill bits also, you may have just drilled the wrong size hole and those work quite lovely.

Maybe I missed it in one of your posts, but what did you do with the valve cover breathers? I can't see them hooked up in any of the pics...

I really like the idea of that setup. I'll have to check out those fitting kits.
