I haven't taken a good look at the motor but it sounds like it will need some bottom end attention, so a good rebuild candidate and probably at minimum the block halves are probably in good shape.

what was wrong with it

Had definite rod knock, think this engine was oil starved at some point. Probably gonna continue to tear it down to the block halves unless someone is interested in sooner.

$350 and its probably gone

damn, i was looking for one with thrust bearing problems. need something running to drop in my legacy so i can drive it for a little bit.

As of right now this thing is gonna be torn down this weekend to further check things out and possibly ship out the block halves. Nothing set in stone yet.

The rod blew a hole through the top of the block... Lol!

Don't really know the interest on one half of the block..

You never know, lol. I had a good block half a couple years back. It was the driver side. Passenger side cylinder walls were all chewed up. No-one was selling just a half so I junked it.

It does sound funny, but I would sit on the good half.
You never know.
Might find the other half from someone in a similar situation.
