Hello all, I need help/advice for removing the nut on 5th gear in the manual transmission. I am stumped trying to remove this, can anyone who has built their transmission help me out? thank you!

You need a big socket that size on an air gun, and that should do it. I just held the shaft in my hands while my buddy put the air gun to it.

Even with the rounded edges? Where do you get a 50mm socket? lol

They are certainly not the best socket, but TractorSupply (A.K.A. central tractor) carries cheap sockets around that size for farm equipment. When I need somehting that large, thats normally what I do...and I work for a tool company :)

Northern Tool might be another spot to look. I've gotten some larger sockets there as well, but tractor supply is also a good spot to look.
