I have searched and found some good information and am still need of some help, i am new to subies and need all the help i can i have been reading like a mad man, but here is the situation. I got a 92 legacy SS and its awesome except its sitting on WRX struts and springs and is WAY to low to run in rally x, i have read that you can use new outback struts but the rears have an issue? i am making this a budget rally car and am trying to keep costs as low as possible can anyone point me in the right direction or give me a list of what is needed to achieve a lift on my SS? Thank you for your time.

Why do you say it's too low for rallyx? have you tried it yet?

WRX suspension shouldn't be too far off from stock. I rallyxed a couple times in my 93 on stock sti suspension, which is lower, and it worked great.

Outback or Forester struts will lift the car an inch or two, but may have less-than-optimal damping rates for rallycross.
If you're looking for better damping and a bit of lift, I think a set of KYB Excel-G for an outback would fit the bill.
I don't know much about JICs.

Checkout DirtyImpreza.com forum, lots of people selling used strut spacers. You can always make your own, should be info on there about that.

oh yeah I put 04 wrx stock springs and struts on my buddies 96 legacy, comparing the strut/springs side by side out of the car, the wrx strut appeared to be longer, while the spring looked shorter. When the front wrx strut and springs are bolted on the tophats, it looked to be 3/4 in longer than the 96 legacy setup. It was a bit of a pain getting the wrx front strut assembly installed into the 96 legacy.
