Got home today and the wifes car had a nice puddle of coolant under it. Up it goes. It's leaking from what looks like not the thermostat cover but up closer to the water pump, maybe it could be that. When I squeeze the thermostat hose coolant comes out from the mystery spot. Any thoughts. Thanks

Might be the weep hole on the water pump. Coolant leaks out there when the seals on the pump go out. That or the gasket on the pump went.

When's the last time it was done? If you're any where around 60k miles since the last time it's been done it wouldn't be a bad idea.
The other issue is that the coolant may degrade the belt over time, so depending on how long it's been leaking, may also play into whether you should change it.

I had it done by SSI in Gladstone. He did a great job.
