A friend and I are thinking about to swap a jdm wrx front clip into a 97 outback, the question can we pair
a usdm 4.44 rear differential to a jdm 4.44 transmission? Using a auto forester/outback rear differential.

As long as they are both verified 4.44s it will work.

You may need to swap the companion flanges, depending on the years/models of the rear diff.
