6spd Transmission Snout

I'm not sure if I've readily seen this information anywhere, and thought I'd share. The 5spd turbo (pull style) transmissions have the part where the throwout bearing rides on cast as part of the transmission case. it's aluminum and over time wears and creates grooves that can cause clutch shudder.
Here's a pic of the 5spd snout

There's a company that makes steel sleeves for the 5spd transmissions and a different size throw out bearing. For some reason it didn't work for my application, but I have a bastardized clutch master & slave cylinder setup.
Here's a pic of the snout sleeve.

Now on the 6spd, some more thought was given about this issue and the snout where the throwout bearing rides along is made from steel and is removable so it can be replaced if it becomes worn out. Very nice design.
