I can get my hands on a 02 WRX cat back exhaust..

My question is:

What will I need to change to get it to fit my 94 non turbo?

No one...

You'll likely have to step up the size of the pipe from your stock stuff to the WRX.
I would cut the stock pipe ~6" behind the flange, fit up the WRX cat-back and use an adapter (readily available from many parts stores or exhaust shops) to mate it to the short section you previously cut.

Or you could take it to Mr. Meyagi.

Oh yeah, you'll have to move at least one of the hangers on the muffler too.

acquired the exhaust... now to make it fit....

Im interested to see how this goes. I have nearly new stock cat back off of our 03 WRX that has been collecting dust for the past 9 years and our 94 L wagon is going to need a muffler soon.

The stock WRX exhaust is about as quiet as a stock SS exhaust... Even the stock STI muffler is super quiet - but you can at least hear some rumble.

Won't make an appreciable difference. Best way to make it sound louder would be to cut it open and cut up the internals, ala this thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ler&page=3

Then again you could just do that to your stock exhaust for the same result. I youtube'd some "stock wrx exhaust" videos and they didn't sound as quiet as I remember. Could be the camera positioning? Having driven several bone stock wrx's, you just about cant hear anything in the cabin.

I helped WhiteFCdrifter put the same setup on his 22E '91 wagon and it sounds pretty good to me. But then, I'm getting old and don't like obnoxiously loud cars.

I don't want it to be "Boy Racer" loud just a nice bass rumble and some good tone

I just did a rough measurement as well... looks like I'm going to have to extend it a good 8 1/2 to 9 inches all together

In doing some more research about this exhaust I think it may be an 05ish WRX / STi exhaust not a 02 WRX.

I found out that it is a 05-07 WRX cat back!!

So this is the plan... cut out the resonator, weld in tubing and weld that to the mid pipe. all the while extending it the 8 1/2 to 9 inches it needs. SWEET!

Any comments or suggestions on this??

I think you best get on that undercoat soon, being a northern boy, all that surface rust thats starting will become a force to be reckoned with

curious what the end result was? looking into getting an exhaust for my ss, but dont wanna spend much.
