Has anyone installed hr springs on a post face lift legacy? I want to install these. H&R said they fit, waiting to talk to one of the techs there, but as I know and was told by some members, the pre face lift springs tapper up in the rear where post have no rear tapper. Here is a link to the springs.

The H&R springs do not have the taper. They are a bolt in for post-facelift.

I've got H&R springs on mine. I think they were called Lowering Sport Springs. I don't remember there being an issue installing them.

Apparently I don't have any before pictures unfortunately. But, stock ride height. So it should be easy to find one floating around in Seattle.

Oh yeah, they look good! How would you rate the performance etc? I talked to ryan a tech from h and r and he told me that these deff fit for any second guessers out there. I guess for the pre facelift leggys, they try to fit in some tapered ones if they have them around the shop. Cant wait to get them installed

How did you black your trim out?

Handles well, but I can't really comment too much on it since I haven't driven a ton of different cars. Little stiff. You definitely notice bumps. But my last stock suspension was shot by the time I got the car. When we pulled out the struts, I could push them in with a single finger, and they didn't come back up by themselves any more. Mike rode with me, he might have a less biased observation.

Trim is blacked out with electrical tape. 3M super 88. Lasts 3 or so years as long as you clean before you apply it.

Obviously you notice the bumps more because its got the higher spring rate. Cornering is nice though?

Haha, sounds like a plan. I haven't gone too often, but Mike promised me there'd be an SS, and he didn't disappoint! It's like a rite of passage to see an SS at a pick 'n pull.

Yes, cj was the initiator of the whole rite. A virginal sacrifice must be performed prior to the rite to appease the subaru gods. If any portion of this rite is in any way interrupted, said tribal member is stuck in an eternal limbo between being a child and being a man.

Err I think CJ was somehow stricken with that last bit you said. ;)
