I need one that has 2 day shipping since I'll be
pulling it out Saturday and I'm also looking for
something on the cheap side since it's just my
off-road car, but I'm pretty sure the stock ones
aren't happy...or in one piece anymore. These
should work, right?

I should just be able to get two of them and they should
be the same, right? It doesn't matter which is left and right?

I have been through this, you need the mount brackets to go along with the newer square style mounts, the ones from the round mounts wont work. Err.. they will, but it's a nightmare of drilling and trimming metal.
old style (fig 10 and 11)
newer style (fig 1 and 2)
Save the headache and order the new style mount brackets too.
p.s. Both sides are the same.
Good luck!

Bummer

I was hoping to get this done this weekend
cause I have a friend that actually found time to let me
use his hoist and I'm going to Jersey next weekend. I
guess for now I'll just hope it'll drop back in right.
I can start looking for some used motor mounts from
one with the square mounts then and just replace the
rubber. Are the newer style fluid filled too?

Here is a place you can get them for 40 bucks. Just dug this up from google, so it's just a refrence.

NASIOC would probably have someone who would sell them cheaper.
As far as replacing them go, you can just use a floor jack and a block of wood to jack up the motor and transmission off the crossmember via jacking up the oil pan. I removed my transmission strut mount from firewall to bellhousing on the top of the motor, and the 2 bottom motor mount bolts from the xmember. Then you can jack it up far enough to get the mount brackets out. Mind you i have a 5 speed and my motor is in a 97 legy outback, not sure if you are an auto or not, but that may change things a bit. Left all the hoses connected and they streached fine. Though you may want to take the turbo silencer box off if you have the stock intake setup, not sure how that would flex.
Anyway it's not too much of an ordeal. Probably an hours work with the proper parts.
Good luck!

I just found the mounts from my EJ20G if you want those. I may or may not have EJ22T mount brackets for them in a box. They look like they're in good shape 70k miles.

Kimo,
I fit the STi mounts on my ej22t without any issues. What issues did you have?

I don't remember but I remember something not meshing. Don't know why I would use the new mounts if I could.

I have the STi mounts in my FWD LS with no problems.

Well it looks like I have time to find some cause I just rigged
it long enough for the motor to be dropped back in. Both were
cracked in half, but somehow I had a spare one for the driver
side and the passenger side I glued it back on, wrapped it in
duct tape and threw some zip ties around it. It's still cracked
in half and undoubtedly wont work for more than dropping the
engine in, but it did its job and it was good enough for now.
I'm thinking I'll buy some newer style mounts now so I shouldn't
have to worry about this crap again.
Now is the EJ22T's crossmember different than a standard NA engine's?
Or I guess I could ask if the EJ22T's stuff will fit on a non-turbo Legacy.
Either way, it shouldn't be an issue, right?

The ej22t engine crossmember is different than the non-turbo crossmember. However the motor mounts should be interchangable.

Sweet

That's good news. So I could use STi mounts
on my NA if I wanted

I'll probably just go with cheaper
ones though since they'll be for off-road. I could go through
a bunch and not feel bad haha
