Temperature gauge problem remains

As some of you might know, I've been dealing with the temperature gauge going all the way to hot within three minutes of driving. I replaced both sensors in my sedan with brand new ones two days ago, both gauge clusters do the same thing. The only thing I've noticed that might be related to this is the ground screw on the back of the cluster, it tightens up the it feels like it strips. I know the car isn't overheating cause the fan comes on when it should and I haven't seen any steam from under the hood. I'm pretty lost here.

There is a reference ground that goes back to the ECU for the dash temp gauge. If any of those connections/screws are loose, that definitely could cause your issues. I would also verify the wiring from the temp gauge in the engine to the dash, and then verify the wiring from the dash to the ECU ground pin.

If you need the specific pin information, let me know.
