Super stiff front suspension

I've noticed, over the years, that the front suspension on my sedan has gotten stiffer up to the point that I can barely compress it to do the "bounce" test. The ride seems normal but the suspension shouldn't be this stiff, it sure isn't on my wagon or my moms '97 Outback. The fact that the ride still seems normal has me really confused, cause I know the front suspension seems to be solid, yet the ride is close to the same as my wagon that has kybs. Is there something majorly wrong with my front struts or springs? Is it finally time for me to get Outback parts and lift my sedan? I'm really at a loss here.

Well if it's stiff when doing the bounce test, but rides ok, I'd say it's working normally.

The thing that has me confused is how stiff it is, it almost feels static when I throw my weight into the bounce test. I'm certain thats not normal or how it should be.

When you jack up the front of the car does the suspension droop like normal? How do the strut shafts look? Is there any rust or debris? Is any oil leaking?
