Will it fit up to a 93 bc legacy? And you think $1650 is a decent price on it?

Hi,
You can edit your 'title' too - drivetrain.
$1650 depends on miles and condition...and it sounds HIGH in my book, but what is included?
Transmission?
Driveshaft?
axles?
rear diff?
I'm not sure what's all needed...so don't quote me on the specifics. Also, sometime around '04-'05 Subaru stopped using the external speedo...there are workarounds.

Still don't know miles or condition, but doesn't sound too bad if it includes all that.
I'd find out how much boost was run, too.....if this was on a stock car - OK, but something w/a FMIC, rotatated turbo setup, and 1000 injectors, I'd keep looking.

Hmm - well I don't personally consider that to be a great price, as you don't need the subframes, can't use the driveshaft, can't use the front axles, and due to the mileage. It IS an 04 which has the stronger gears, however. If this is a shop selling this then I guess it's not too unreasonably priced. But... both my SS's together cost what you're paying for the tranny.

With an AWD swap keep in mind there are even more costs, as you will need the AWD gas tank and rear spindles, plus whatever other small parts are necessary to swap. Can we even use the same rear subframe as a WRX?
I would sell your Legacy and find an AWD 5-speed one for sale. Even if you end up sacrificing a couple thousand doing that, it will still be cheaper and take less time than doing a swap unless you have sentimental reasons or a really really nice car.

I may just part mine out, but the only things wrong with it are the front subframe and the engine needs to be gone through
