Has any one tried swapping out the pedals from a wrx on to a 1st gen legacy? Not the whole pedal box, just the pedal "covers" i guess?

WRX pedal 36024FA000 - Pad CP - Accel Sports.

This shows how how to do it on a 2.5rs, but i was curious if it was feasible on a 1st gen legacy with an automatic transmission.

Yes, you can swap the pedal covers the same way on the 1st gen Legacy.

Oh nice! I went looking but I didn't pull anything up. Apparently I didn't look hard enough. Sorry for the hassle on that.

Crap, i just realized the pedal for the brake on automatic trasmissions is rectangular...I'm not certain this is going to work.

Mmmm, i wish they didn't have the sti logo on them...i might have to go for that and sell the two pedals i bought, which doesn't really help anyone.

there is a set for automatics for the wrx too which are the silver tops no logos

On the sti pedals, the accelerator pedal fits over the top of the preexisting rubber pedal, which made installation a lot easier. On the brake pedal, the actual pedal is wider than the pedal cover, so there's a little bit of black over hang on either side.

Sorry Josh, i didn't see these posts until today for some reason. I'll try to get some more pictures. As previously mentioned the gas pedal cover fits over the top. On the brake pedal, it's a bolt down. So, at least on the automatics, the rubber cover comes off and the sti pedal cover screws down into the pedal. The proper bolt holes were already part of the pedal.

Ok, so I took a couple more pictures.

Here you can more clearly see the overhang of the actual brake pedal, as well as the bolts that keep the cover attached.



Here you can see how the sti pedal cover for the gas is really just riding on top of the preexisting rubber pedal cover.

I really need mats for my Impreza and they don't make the 1st gen Impreza mats any more.

Yeah, my pleasure. The fit pretty well. The driver side could fit better. It has a hole to pin it down, but i'm trying to figure out a way to implement it without cutting holes in my carpet.
