fuel separator

where the hell is it located on a wagon? is it out of the car on the underside? cause i ripped apart the interior and can't find it...

isn't that built into the fuel pump sending unit on the passenger side?
which is in the tank and why you could not find it

It is in the car on the passenger side, behind the wheel well. It'll be covered up. Here are some pictures of where it's at and what it looks like.

Interesting coincidence...just came across this part on a project.

Besides the name, what does it do?

What it does it keep fuel from being drawing into the evaporative emissions system in the event the fuel tank is filled too much. The two vapor/vent lines come from the tank and go into the bottom of the separator bottle, and then the single line going to the charcoal canister comes from the top of the separator bottle.

I'm going to have to submit a trouble ticket because my site is STILL slow today.

kk still need to pull my rear end apart but its too cold to pull trim... and no heat gun...
