Is there a difference in the rear strut top hat on a 1990-1991 saloon vs wagon?

I pulled struts off a 90 wagon and am putting them into my 91 saloon. Should I swap the top hats? or not worry about it. The wagon top hat looks like it's on an angle, were as the saloon top hat looks flat/level.

Any help would be great!

i know of saloon/bar..... where are you from? and i do think the sedan/wagon tophats are the same

The Sedan/Saloon and Wagon/Estate have interchangeable tophats. There is a difference between FWD and AWD rear tophats, so if swapping in new go with ones from the same wheel drive as you have.

Yeah, there's no difference between a wagon & sedan/saloon. There are different part #'s between the FWD & AWD rear top hats, but I used STi AWD rear top hats when my car was FWD without a problem. So I couldn't really tell you what the actual difference is.

Well, I'll post a photo to show the difference. Because it appears the AWD are level and the FWD are tapered up on the corner that faces the centre of the car. I'm just swapping the top hats, I wish I didn't have to, because it's more work. But really no big deal.

Yeah if you can take some pictures, that would be helpful.
