So since my car has been recovered I had a check engine light on when I got the car back. After talking with Kimo, it was showing me codes 22 and 49. Mass air flow and knock sensor! Any one have any suggestions?

You never said what the condition of the wiring at the back of the MAF connector was. I doubt the MAF is bad. I think I have one for you though if it is.

yeah, I'll update the thread with the wire condition. It does seem to be intact, but I think since it was in such a moist area the the whole inner brass housing may have been damp, if that matters. Kimo, how much to have that sent up here? unless you will be in Seattle the next couple weeks

Not planning to go to seattle. Shipping would probably be about $7 so $25? Replace your knock sensor first.

I just got code 23 which is the maf sensor, so Im assuming thats it. Ill change the knock first for code 22 for good measure, but i really think it was the maf sensor and how much rain the car may have encountered. read my new post here.

Try cleaning it with maf cleaner. Dry it out.

Yup. I have some I've never used. I was going to but don't want to mess with something that isn't malfunctioning.

Yeah. Kind of tired of people saying they're going to buy it and backing out. Its yours if you want it. I keep going in the garage and fetching it and then it winds up sitting in my room for a couple months waiting and then I put it back in the garage.
