Worlds ugliest tuners

Reading Jalopnik as I usually do, I came across an article about expensive cars "ruined" by tuners. Not just the performance, but mostly the appearance as well. In the comments (thank you "Kotaku Fix" plugin for fixing the comment system!), someone posted a whole website about uglyfied luxary cars.
You could just enjoy your Mercedes Benz coupe, or you could spend 3x the purchase price getting it guilded in gold, repulsive bodywork, and atrocious interior, and stacked with a Clarion G80 stereo (the sign you've "arrived" in the 80s):
Enjoy:

Awesome website. I kind of like some of the bizarre ergonomics and dash setups in some of the 80s cars.. XT Turbo digital clusters look awesome.

Almost makes me wonder if someone has hacked up some display device (like a cheap tablet) to emulate one of these retro clusters..

I only looked at a few (slow connection... like sub-56K), but I wouldn't call them ugly by any stretch. Maybe it's because I'm one of those guys who still loves the styling concepts of the 80's, and continually wonders why it doesn't make a comeback...

Mike thanks for sharing. Its so funny how much equipment it took back then and I can only imagine the extra weight that must have been put on. Some of those companies I thought only made wheels. What would be cool would be to take a normal new car of today and bring it back to that time. I wouldn't have thought they tried the camera mirrors way back then. They were so big!
