Turbo clutch replacement options

I'm going to replace the clutch on my '94 SS. I'm not sure to just pick up one from Napa or to look for a more high-performance one. My car is stock now, but wouldn't mind a bigger turbo and intercooler in the future. Anybody have a clutch/flywheel to recommend? I'm seeing a variety of possibilities on the ebay machine, but not sure what to go with.

Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend picking up an 02-04 WRX flywheel, clutch, & pressure plate. It is slightly larger (not by much), and gives you more options. Personally, I do not like a stiff clutch pedal, so I recommend an OEM level pressure plate, but that also depends on you, how you drive it (traffic or open highway), and what you want to do with the car.

The exedy OEM level stuff is pretty reasonably priced and probably better than a parts store brand. They also have a "stage 1" clutch which has a better disc and slightly higher clamp load. So if you plan to make a bit more power that might be a good choice. The stage 1 is the same part as the WRX and uses a bigger disc so you may need a flywheel to go with it, although I'd think you can just have it resurfaced.

I'm having my flywheel resurfaced. Could I use it with a kit for an 02-04 wrx? I'm having a hard time finding the specs on both flywheels.

The "friction" surface on the turbo legacy clutch is slightly smaller, but if you're resurfacing, you can probably get by with using the 02-04 WRX stuff.

Stock clutch diameter is 225mm, wrx is 228, so like hardly anything. After thinking about it a little more, the flywheel gets machined all the way out to the edge to keep the gap the same anyway so it should work just fine. If you'd like pricing on anything let me know, I can usually match/beat amazon etc.
