Nosiy Intercooler water pump + intercooler light always on

Hi guys! Im from oz its heating up down here and my intercooler pump is screaming its head off im just wondering if there is anyway to fix this or replace it? And at the same time my intercooler light is on all the time.

This maybe not coursed by it but when the car is in park the car hunts starts up around 2000rpm then drops to 1500rpm then misfires or something an goes up n down between 1500rpm to 500rpm then after a while of doing so it idles around 1000rpm. but when drving with headlights on the u can see n feel the engine struggling.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

sounds like possible electrical troubles. and y not order a new IC pump from subaru?

cheers man yeh im not sure on anything this is my first subaru. also lots power button only comes on when my foot is flat.

i'm sure all the guys who know way more than me will chime in shortly, but the pump is most likely shot cause noise lol

The power light is only supposed to come on when you floor it. I agree, sounds like your awic pump is about to die and should be replaced immediately. A factory pump won't be the cheapest, but it will outlast the car. Trace the coolant lines off the intercooler and you'll find the pump. Its a little buried. Good luck :)

Now that I think about it, the awic light comes on if the coolant is too hot or low. Have you checked the level?

If the pump isn't pumping well then that may be the cause of the intercooler fluid getting too hot. The pump is located in the fender liner under the battery. Confirm that is the noise and then replace it to see if the intercooler light goes away.

Does the intercooler light come on when you first start the car or does it take a little time?

You may also want to see if anyone has a used pump on www.rslibertyclub.org/forums
