A way to save your EDM glass

I've been doing this for years on my plastic headlight to keep them in good shape. Alaska has alot of rocks on there roads and when I found this stuff I place it on all the inpact areas on my car. 3m makes a clear vinyl, they also have them in different thickness. I chose the thick stuff to cover my wife's EDM fogs, and even pits in the glass it fills most of them and makes them look alot clearer. This is what I had to work with.

These are cleaned and ready for the vinyl, also pretty blasted.

I cut a small piece and placed it on the light working from the middle and pressing it to the out side evenly. After you have it all down you cut off the excess.

As you can see it is clearer and protected from most rocks. I've even used this to fix headlights that already have holes from rocks. Also have used them on 98 outback fogs and they held up great and when one did get broke, it kept it sealed and usable for years until she hit a truck but the vinyl kept the glass intact but the rest of the light was destroyed.
