Can i just cherry pick an engine out of an auto and drop it in to a manual and just plug in all the wires and go? Or is there auto junk in it that i need to pull the other harness? Ready to drop in now

Please clarify:

NA or Turbo?? Long-block? Intake manifold, too?

-EJ22T are all the same (engine harness connectors are different in '91 - see below)

-NA: '92-'94 should be the same. '91-92 had some differences between the MT and AT - injectors and wiring - the MT used the same MAF as the EJ22T, but that 'should' only matter if you change the ECU? The engine harness on the intake manifold changed connector types (square vs. round) where they connect by the battery in '92.

don't forget to undo the TC bolts B4 you separate the engine and trans...and to swap over the correct flywheel.

So, it depends on what you're dropping in.

22T from 94 auto going into a 92 MT bay srry was on my phone and greasy sqc says they're the same

Yep...just swap out your flexplate for the FW, and good to go....you probably should @ least reseal that separator plate while you're back there (or replace w/the newer metal style).

+1 and also, Might as well do the rear main seal.

he removed a 22t and replacing with a 22t on a 92ss
in 91 there are 3 square plugs.
92-94 there are 2 square and 1 round.

Swap the intake manifolds if you wanna keep it simple and quick. or just swap the harnesses.

Just wondering if it was a plug n play deal or not
