Hey everybody, im in the process of swaping a 5 speed into my na lego and i purchased a 10.5 act lightweight flywheel. I also really want to upgrade to the 230 grind delta cams. I have been reading that a few people have idle issues with these cams, my question is since i have such a lightweight flywheel will going with 230 cams be a nightmare?

I don't really understand the lw flywheel thing tbh... I like my forgiving brick of an oem flywheel lol but to answer your query, my guess would be: probably so

LW flywheel is much harder to drive with....usually I have to bleep the throttle a little before starting to release the clutch, not to bog down the motor.
I don't think there will be an increased problem running the cams with the LW flywheel. I think the factors will be separate...but I can't say statistically for sure.

You should have less bottom end with those cams and a lighter flywheel can make it a little tricky taking off. With the cams it will be a little trickier. I think you will learn and adjust though. My flywheel is 13 lbs or so and I love it. Don't know who's it is as there are no markings on it. I like my low end so I have no plans to upgrade the cams.

Well i plan on using these heads when i go turbo that's the only reason why i would change from 220 to 230. Just got my 5 speed working and the clutch flywheel combo with 220 cams is pretty good.

well I went ahead and installed the delta 230 grind cams. Ive put around 10k miles on them with the lightweight flywheel and they seem to work well. you do have to blip the throttle on take off but thats about it. I had to mess with the IAC and throttle stop to get it to idle at first but now it idles right at 800 and sounds pretty good. I took a short crappy video with my cellphone today
