I probably will use this on my '94, but that won't happen for a while. Cheaper than buying a silicone y pipe that you have to cut up to use.

I have been thinking going AWIC, but i have realized.... its a PIA to set up, from what my friends have said. I assume this will make the TMIC install insanely easier then before?

It did make taking the tmic on/off and apart much easier

The guy im buying my TMIC from is slackin lol, but as soon as it gets in ill let you all know. I am in Hawaii just so you all know. lol

TMIC is at my house still waiting on that damn y pipe lol as soon as i get it ill let everyone know how it goes together.

I am going to revive this thread a bit. I decided to get this kit as it seemed to get everything moving in the right direction. However, I needed to do two things to make this work on my '07 WRX TMIC.

First, was to get a 30 degree elbow from silicone intakes (http://www.siliconeintakes.com/product_ ... 1eebe83657). This made the link from right to left side piping as they were not aligned very well. I also had to cut the elbow down. The grimmspeed connecting hose had no chance here. I also used the left side WRX TMIC metal piece as it minimized the gap that the grimmspeed metal piping created. (Shown in photo) Now it seems to be ready to install.



I am new to this and my vocab sucks so I hope this makes sense. Next will be the installation. I will report back after that has happened! Still going back and forth between leaving the 11 in or going with the TD04…

Finally have the photos to show for this. After I pulled my head out of my ass it all went together pretty good.

Please note that installation is for a VF11.

Picking up where I left off - I needed a 90 degree 1.75 to 2.00 inch reducing elbow to connect the turbo to the GrimmSpeed silicone. I also used a silicone joiner for these.

The 90 degree that came with the GrimmSpeed kit fit with an inch and a half cut off of the long end and then tightened this end onto the metal y-pipe. This allowed the short end of this hose to be rotated up to connect to the 90 degree reducing elbow that goes to the turbo. Please refer to the pictures for the angles that worked.

On the reducing coupler, from the 1.75" side, I had about 2.5" of straight hose going from the turbo to the bend and about 1.5" leading down into the Grimmspeed hose on the 2" side.

After that, double check everything is tightened down on the intercooler and then align the turbo pipe and nudge it on while putting the intake side into the manifold coupler. Snug it in and hold it while tightening the clamps snuggly to assure proper alignment. Then tighten it fully on the intake and the turbo side and call it good!

One trick I did towards the end was to put a t-bolt clamp around the silicone hose and use it as a guide for a straight cut around. Previously, my cuts were jagged and wonky.

Also watch where your clamps are aligning so they aren't rubbing on any hoses. I sliced the coolant hose that runs to my turbo the first run because I neglected to watch out for any problem areas the clamps may cause.

BPV hook-up goes from 1.25" to .75".


Please double check all measurements before cutting and fitting. It takes multiple times mounting, measuring, then double checking and re-measuring to assure this goes on properly.

If you do this and I left something out please update the thread.

That's a good tip for cutting silicone hoses. I could have done a better and used this trick when I did my intercooler.
