Bought a rob tuned ecu with 550 injectors. Got everything installed and the car is running very rich ar idle according to my a\f gauge. Cel is flashing with a code 45, legacy service manual says thats an atmospheric pressure sensor. Im not what that code is in the 20g ecu. Want to here what you guys thinl. Can explain more if needed. Thanks

Code 45 is also the MAP sensor or the pressure exchange solenoid. It's the same code number between the turbo legacy and 20g ecu.

If that sensor was bad would it cause the computer to dump a bunch of fuel in. It was working before i swapped everything. Should i try replacing it...

I think this code comes up if you didn't remove pin 48.5 and combine it to a ground I believe.

Ok so I grounded that pin, flashing CEL is out. But the car is still running really rich. Low 12s at idle, 11s when cruising and it's in the low 10s when I start to get into boost with lots of black smoke. Is this thing gonna have to go through a relearn procedure?

Did you buy the ECU from Rob or someone else? Is it tuned for the 550 injectors? Is it possible your 550s are modded for more flow by someone? Do you have any leaks in your intake tract after the MAF? Did you put in a plastic JECS MAF instead of the metal Hitachi?

I bought it from rob himself. Tuned for the 550s. I checked all my intake lines after the maf cause i thought it could have been that. Im using the jecs green label maf. For the injectors, the first set i bought i was gonna send them to witch hunter but they were moving shop at the and werent taking anymore injectors. So i sent them to this place called injector rx. They had good reviews, so i said what the hell. Got them back car was only running on one cylinder. Tested all the injectors with a 9v battery to see if you could hear them click and what not. 3 werent clicking even when i sprayed them with some brake clean to lude the insides. Bought another set in town all 4 worked this time. Put those in car runs smooth but my a/f gauge says its super rich. Im not sure if there modded or not but the tips on the second set i got were a little different. The guy said they were from and 04 sti.

This is what the 04 "yellow" STi injectors & tips should look like. Do they look like that?

An increase of 5cc would not make the car run that badly. That difference is within normal variation. I don't know enough to tell if those injectors are STI that are modded for more flow. As you said they could also be some other kind of injector completely.

This PIC is of your style that DW/ DeatschWerks mods out to 850cc. They are stock injectors that are modded to flow more.

Maybe the STi owner's car had the modded stock injectors? But I don't think the car would even start, let alone run, if they were modded.

I'd contact DW and ask them if they ADD those tips or not.

Not sure what else to suggest.

Ok it's been awhile. So I got everything sorted out a few weeks ago. I sent the first set of injectors back to the place that cleaned them. The dude was totally cool and wanted to help. He recleaned them and now the car halls ass. My buddy has a stage 2 wrx and he's all jealous cause my legacy pulls on him. I'm happy with rob and his tune.
