Hey I have a 93 legacy touring wagon with invidia n1 exhaust. Im just wondering if anyone has ever had a tow package with an n1 or similar size muffler.

From what I recall of how the tow hitch package is setup and goes under the stock muffler tips, I think you would probably have a clearance issue.

Do you think it would fit if i trimmed the bottom of the bumper a bit?

I don't know. The tow hitch comes down so I think it would hit the tow hitch bracket, not the bumper.

Without seeing pictures of both, or having both to compare/look it, it'd be a little hard to say 100% yes or no whether it'd fit.

Here are some pics of what the tow hitch package looks like. As you can see there is not much clearance. This is on a second gen legacy, but it will pretty much be the same on the first gen.

The one in the second pic looks like it would likely work with the Fast Motorsports exhaust I have, but it's only got a 3" tip. IIRC the N1 exhaust has a much larger tip that would likely cause clearance issues.

Do they make tow hitches with the cross bar going over the tailpipe instead of under?? It would probably fit im thinking

I have not seen one that goes over the tail pipe, but that doesn't mean it's not out there.

I think its worth pointing out that a hitch is super easy for a welding shop to modify.
