I've found a guy that has a pretty rough 94 Sun Sport Wagon.. He says hes only the third owner.

It's got 223,xxx

The Usual Subaru Rust

And rather dirty interior

He wants to sell it for pretty cheap and it's inspected until November...
What should I do??!! Help!

I can't remember the color on that, but even if you don't get it, would you please get pictures of it for the color codes thread?

There was no mention of price. Depends on condition then and whether you're going to want to deal with selling it or scrapping it when you want a better car.

So I went and looked at the Sun Sport again. It is in pretty rough shape....

229K, rust on the rear quarters, rockers, and fenders, needs struts, brakes, cv joint, tires, exhaust work, rear view mirror, sun visors... . and a bit more..

He needs to get another vehicle situated before he will sell it to me. He said this coming weekend he would give me a call and we could work out a deal and transfer cash..

I really don't want to but I think I am just going to part it out. I will let you all know more details at the end of this week.. It does have the sought after gray interior.

Grey interior is sought after? Black interior is the one everyone wants. I still say it sounds like a horrible buy.

I still think it's a pretty good deal for parts at least.

Well then pull the trigger. What parts are going to be worth $400? Its got rust and not in the best shape, right?

none of the doors have rust. its got a good sunroof/motor, extra set of studded snows, rear bumper ground effects, power antenna motor, rear hatch, lights, engine bits, interior bits.... etc

how can I dis-engage the airbag? Can I just unplug the electrical connects from the module under the center console?? I just don't want it to blow up in my face while I'm tearing into the car more.

You can disconnect the electrical connector on the module, however it is good practice to disconnect the battery and let the electrical system discharge any stored power for a few minutes before disconnecting the connector.
