Well I want to upgrade my exhaust system on my 1994 N/A legacy. I was just wondering what year wrx/legacy exhaust systems are direct bolt ons? If that makes any sense.
http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/pts/3866236658.html I found that one for cheap. Thats why I am asking. Or what other exhaust systems are good?

You need an exhaust from an N/A car for it to be anywhere remotely close to bolt on. I'd suggest looking at exhausts for the 93-01 Impreza, but it would still need to be extended roughly 12" to fit. My exhaust was $90 to lengthen and install at a shop.

So these r.s headers are a good start?

Those should bolt up, but I'd caution that you may not see any improvement simply going to newer OEM. Your best bet IMO is to look for an aftermarket cat-back to start with, it will give it some "subie rumble" and improve flow a bit.

Yeah, something like that *should* work. Although you can find much cheaper ones if you keep looking, unless you've got the $$$ to burn for big name brands.

I currently have an OBX header for an 98 RS impreza on my 90. I like it a lot, smoother engine and little better on low end power. Also no cats and flowmaster muffler, and gas mileage not really effected 25/29 and its been on for 130,000 miles.
