A custom GC setup I tossed together ( used to work there )
I did raise it up about 1" till I roll the fender lips out of the way, it rode good that low though. it will be back down as soon as I get the stuff taken care of though...

Gotta love the modifed wagons! I think I might use a 2.5L Legacy engine in a wagon for my next rally car. What is the fastest legacy wagon available from like under 1995? I'm trying to find a way to cheaply lower my Passat wagon about 1.5 inchs! It would look damn nice!

From that do you mean pre 95? If so, then the Legacy Turbo is the answer. But then again some of the older pre 1990 Turbo wagons like the GL could be fast. But I doubt as fast, cause they only got the 1.8 turbo.

Mark,
Ya thats what i mean. I saw an old GL like my dad used to have. It said Turbo all over the side of it. It looked pretty sweet. I like the gls! There cool and fun off roading! My dad had a FWD one w/ 5sp, wooo you could smoke them tires silly! I don't know what engine it had in it? So how much do the pre 95 legs go for? I would look for a manuel tranny, with AWD.

The Turbo Legacy wagons go for around 3000. And they weren't offered with a manual tranny. only the sport sedans got em. Like usual, better examples go for more and beat up ones can be found for dirt cheap. And can be a bargain if you like to work on your car. As for GL's this isn't a wagon but:

this is also a neat little car:

The older subes can be found for really cheap prices. But people usually use those older ones to the end, untill they croak, or rust apart that is. so finding a clean example may be hard.
