Code 11, 23

Just recently I've been having problems with my wife's car. The car will die randomly even at highway speeds, it like someone turned off the key for a second. Code 11 has been there for years and I've cleared it many times but comes back in about a week. I figured it was a fantom code so I've done nothing with that. Code 23 I believe is new. It some times acts like it not getting spark but I wait for a few minutes and it will start just fine. I believe both sensors will act like this. Which one should I replace first?

It's your MAF sensor.

I had similar issues with mine back in the early 2000's. The car would randomly lose power. Sometimes I could keep it running, other times it would die completely. It finally left a code that confirmed my hunches it was the MAF sensor. Mind you I tracked this issue over a year.

Bad MAF confirmed,

It died this morning and wouldn't start back up this time. I unplugged the maf and started right up and I drove it home. It ran like crap and real rich, but made it home.
On my way to my dads to pick up my spare.

My spare MAF on and logged 3500 miles and everything is good.

Good deal!

I wish I had the BBS as a resource back in the day when I had my issues. Now that I've had all my problems I just get to share them with others :)
