1994 Legacy SS steering hub converstion problem

Hi all, first off I'll start by saying I'm new to posting here so if this is the wrong section or I'm asking something already covered, I apologize, I tried to find a topic about this through google and the BBS search engine but didn't find anything.

So here's my problem. I just bought a factory EDM MOMO steering wheel with factory cruise control. I know those don't have airbags and since the airbag in my current 06 WRX steering wheel isn't used, I didn't mind.
However after I started taking my steering wheel apart I realize my roller connector for the WRX steering wheel doesn't fit for the old edm momo, no biggy, got my old roller connector....Well, that doesn't work either. Since my my Legacy SS has an airbag because of the year, I needed a roller connector from a pre-airbag legacy. So I went and got exactly that....Still doesn't work.

So my question here is, what do I need to do to make my steering wheel fit? Since an airbag roller connector won't work, and a pre-airbag roller connector doesn't work, I'm stumped. I also want to avoid cutting and hacking it to work. I'd like to keep everything to some degree so I could swap back in the future if need be.

Thanks for any help you guys can lend, and thank you in advance to any mods who take it easy on me if I posted this rant in section. :-D

Anyone? I'm temporarily going back to the 06 WRX steering wheel, but I'll upload some pictures of the steering wheel and my previous progress tomorrow.

Yeah a pic would help. I have an EDM Legacy Momo, that came with the hub & cruise control. Plug and play with my 91ss.

Before that I had an Impreza WRX momo wheel and hub, and that had some wierd circular connector going from the hub to column.

I'm not sure if I can upload directly, So here's a link to an Imgur with all the pictures I've taken so far. The last two are of the roller connector I got (Yes its cut out) for a non-airbag steering wheel, but it still doesn't fit.

My issue is that this is a non-airbag steering wheel and my 94 was a factory airbag and has an 06 roller connector.

You can do what I did and retro fit it. the last pic number 8 I cut the male part of the plastic till it was just the terminals sticky out and made a hole in the hub for the plug to fit through and was able to keep it stock san the wheel

It may be that the EDM cruise ring is different....

Can you post pics please? I'm new to tinkering with this stuff. My legacy came modified already.

EDM cruise ring is compatible with ours, it was plug and play. OP's hub looks different than my EDM one.

there are a couple of different hub rings that subaru used to install these steering wheels. You have the non cruise ring in your last pic. I'll see if I have a ring with the cruise wiring. If you cannot find one you can wire it up with an old coil telephone handset cord.
