FWD > AWD gas tank parts list

Hey guys, so my gas tank on my 1994 FWD Legacy L is leaking and needs to be replaced. I was wondering since eventually I'd like to convert my FWD to AWD, and because I can scoop up a WRX gas tank at a great price, I was wondering what parts I would need to install the tank BESIDES the tank itself. Do I need a different filler pipe?

I was going to use this (http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=43209) as a guide and go from there. There's a WRX being parted out local to me so I can already pick up the gas tank. Anything else I should grab from it to ensure a smooth install?

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Hey Thenicky0, several people have done this swap. Here's a good one with pictures by Legacy777:

Not the easiest job by any means, but the end result should be worth it. ;)

Thanks Mike, I've checked out the link on numerous occasions. It appears I would need an AWD Sedan fuel separator to install the AWD tank. My question I suppose is WRX specific. I know what needs to be done for the WRX gas tank swap.

Does anyone know if I can use the WRX fuel separator or if I need a legacy one?

Use the separator meant for the Legacy since it will bolt into the Legacy.
