Maxspeeding Rods

Post by cj91legss »

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Impreza- ... 5d4801f1de

I've been reading other forums for the last couple days and have not found any bad reviews on them yet. I'm kinda thinking I may give them a shot. The MG and Volvo guys have run them, there were also some mini guys that had some discussions on them. I haven't read those yet. But so far I haven't seen a bad review. There's atleast one subaru guy in the UK that's used them, but I haven't come across him online at all yet to ask him or read his thoughts on them.

I'm also on the fence, but little companies have to start somewhere right?

Decisions decisions.....

What is a typical final bid/price for them?

They look like knock offs of Eagle's H-Beam rods

Ok...so the're a little less than $100 cheaper than the Eagle rods....which I think have gone up in price since I bought them.

What I did notice is that for 75 or more I can get manley rods. So now it's just "why take the chance?"

Maybe it'd be more worth it to test on a block thats not so rare.

I would tend to agree....for a little more money I wouldn't take the risk.

Yes I did, but theyre +2mm in length. 5.216" versus 5.137".

Maxwell power services uses these rods and a 2.0 crank in a 257 to destroke the block to a 2.35~6 to handle higher revs. I dont want to de stroke a 2.2t
