1990 legacy with 4eat tranny.
the fluid doesnt smell burnt
just replaced the transmission filter and gasket
R, 1, 2, 3rd has no power and idk about forth.
need help fixing this problem, my next alternative is to buy another transmission
when it goes down the road i can get it up to 45mph before it shifts then i feel no catching
of any sort, just an rpm spike and my speed decrease.

Can you provide some additional details?

You said that R, 1, 2, & 3 has no power, so does the car just not accelerate properly or does it not move at all?

all gears work except third and i just pulled the codes from it today and i got a "12" from the tcu

Here are the diagnostic tests for the duty solenoid B (code 12)
