It should bolt on fine but I can't confirm it will fit against the bottom of the 93 dash. Looks like it probably could. If I'm feeling sprightly I might try and swap consoles on my 95 and 93 to try it out for you.

That would be awesome, if you have time. The previous owner smoked and burned everything inside, including the headliner! I cant seem to find a center console for my 93, but found a 95 for a reasonable price..

Yeah, the 95-99 are a dime a dozen compared to the 90-94. I've been thinking myself that I might need to do a swap a newer style console to finish the cosmetic part of my 5 speed swap.

Looks like it will rain all day, but should be clear tomorrow though. I will try it then unless someone here who already done it can chime in vefore then.

I haven't tried it, but isn't the e-brake in a different spot?

I don't believe so. I don't know down to the inch, but driving both it feels like its in the same spot. And the mounting screws appear to be in the same place too.

Its a no-go, due to every USDM owner's arch-nemesis, the automatic seatbelt. The console bin on the 95 is MUCH deeper than the first Gen, and won't clear the belt reels that are tucked down there by a long shot.

What if a person didn't have an autotragic seatbelt setup?

Sounds like it would probably work out with manual belts.

The center console cubby does unscrew from the center console. Could you swap the shallow cubby with the deeper cubby?

Good question. I'll check that out. I didn't know the cubby bins came off.
Don't have much desire to pull my seat belts out though.

One of the hinges took a dump on mine and I have a hole drilled for a remote amp gain knob in the cubby. So I took the hinges from another cubby, riveted them onto mine, and then reinstalled my cubby.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I will have to search to the ends of the earth of a 93 console, but thats what I get for buying such a popular sought after auto. Besides, she is worth the wait. Don't know why the previous owner had to burn the crap out of the interior with cigarettes
