Ej20g swapp questions

So I have picked up most of the stuff I'm going to need for my swap over to ej20g and planning on getting the rob tune chip in the ecu. My main question I wanted to ask was. Would it be ok to run the stock 390 injectors on the stock ej20g computer. My current set up is a swapped tdo4 with a 06 top mount I have a jecs maf and most of the stuff needed to do a 550 tune but am not planning on swapping stuff over tell spring. Would the 20% difference in fuel injectors be enough to cause issues or concern. I am plan on running wastegate pressure on the td04 for the mean time. I was just wondering since I love in the upper mid west if I could install it now to see if I can get the computer to learn the cold idle better

I would wait until you can put the 550's in, chancing running lean is so not worth blowing up your car. Too much fuel is one thing, running lean is a whole other game.
If you have a wideband you could give it a go, and closely monitor your AFR's. I would find some 440's to run on the 20g ECU as I'm pretty sure it will handle those fine, the ECU might even be setup for 440cc.

I agree with Robert, I wouldn't run the 370's. Since the fuel rails are different between the 370's, 440's, and 550's I'd wait and do everything at once.

Hi,
All the EJ20G 4-plug ECU's should use the 440's, which fit in the stock EJ22T rails.
You can get a set on Ebay UK for <$100 (contact the Seller b4 bidding to get a quote on shipping to the USA). Depending on your EJ20G ECU you could run an MBC up to 15psi (fuel cut on the Z4 version) w/your setup - TD04/TmIC/440's/JECS MAF/EJ20G ECU/Rob's ignition converter. And you might be happy there.
If not, get the chip w/Rob's enhancements and try that @ 16-17 PSI w/the 440's.
Remember you'll have to SEND IN your EJ20G ECU to get Rob tune-chipped (unless you do a swap w/him) - it's not a plug in chip like the old Revtronix was.

Todd,
Thanks for the reminder that the 440's fit into the 370 rails.
