Ghetto shifter fix???

So I know I can fix my shifter linkage the right way but heres the problem.... I have dissassembled everything a couple times and the shaft is stuck to the tranny. I haVE TRIED HEAT, PB LUBE, AIR HAMMER, ETC Nothing will get this thing off. A couple questions I have and ghetto slutions are as follows
????????'s
- how hard can I hit the shaft before i will break tranny prts?
- I have welded the parts together (poorly with very little prep, they just broke the crppy welds again)
- If I were to cut it off will there be problems fabricating a mount for the new linkage
- has anyone had one that wouldn't come off and what have you done?
- I will be welding it all together, will this put undue strain on my gears since there are no pivot points once its welded?
ghetto answer to problem. Weld it all together as one solid piece super tight but it will probably cause wear on tranny internals anyone that can help me here, i dont want to put a new tranny in just to fix my linkage problems the bolts are rusted through and one solid piece otherwise i would take them off. also i cant fit a wrenche in there to get it back together while the shaft is connected. thanks
