Hey guys, I'd like to get some opinions on my TT heads

Rod knock a couple months ago. After getting time to check everything out and get rid of those case halves and check out my heads I noticed something (which is why the heads aren't for sale anymore until i get some definite answers that they're fine or what ever) and would like some opinions. Reason why I would like some opinions is I would like to sell these to help fund my future project idea.

I'm assuming you're going to be building a new motor. What are your goals for that motor?

New engine plans are GD wrx swap. 2.0L heads, turbo legacy short block. I'm going to slap one together with another 22t I have after I get the rest of the stuff needed. Currently in the market for a gas tank, harness from bumper to bumper, heads and intake manifold. Contemplating the dash as well. I kind of want the clock gauge pod. I don't have any issues with how the dash looks in Devan's 91.
After months of going back and forth, I finally made up my mind. I want the tune-ability of the wrx ecu. It'll also get me physically closer to an STI swap if I get bored of that setup.

Would it be cheaper and easier to pick up a donor car with everything you need?
Is your poll asking whether to use the TT heads on the WRX motor build? Sorry....I'm a bit confused.

Ah i see why you are confused. I should have been a bit more specific.
The poll is so i can know that they are still useable so i can sell them to help fund some parts.
A donor car would be awesome, but i have already sourced most of the parts needed.

I will edit in a bit to make more sense of the question.

It's hard to see in the pictures.
Because of the way the cam actually rides on a film of oil, they might be OK. High spots need to be gently filed back down. Valleys can be left alone because they will fill with oil. This applies to both the cam and the journal.
After there are no high spots, evaluate the surfaces. Any journal that still has 90+ percent of it surface untouched/OEM looking can likely be reused. The test is to coat the journals with assembly lube, install and torque the cam (no valves/springs). If it turns 100% free and you cannot detect any spots where the cam 'catches', 'almost catchs' or 'gets tight' then I would feel OK at trying it again (with a good feeling, but no final guarantee). However, if you feel ANYTHING but even rotation I would consider either the cam or head junk because even the smallest fault will be magnified under load and RPM.

Based on touch, there are no high spots. But thanks for that idea. I will get on that test asap. I'll also see if i can find some sort of straight edge that is small enough to fit on the cam's journal and see if I can get some light to show thru on any area that could be suspected as high spots.
